Biography

Early life

Born in Meishan, Sichuan, he became famous for his writings along with his father Su Han and younger brother Su Ruan. After passing the imperial examination, he became a bureaucrat and became involved in the political conflict surrounding Wang Anshi's new law.

Achievements

He received high acclaim for his poetry, lyrics, calligraphy, and paintings, and left behind works such as ``Akabefu.'' He was also involved in flood control and civil administration as a local official, showing that civil servants were responsible for both politics and culture.
